Illustrations of Typical Clients of a Graphic Designer
I have had the great pleasure of working as a successful Graphic Artist over the last 12 or so years. As any creative professional will tell you, in this business you get to meet and work with some interesting characters. I've made some quick illustrations of some of the more memorable types. Would love to hear if anyone else out there can relate!

April Oneil and Mikey
Just finished another image of Nica Stone from our shoot from...like over a year ago? Wow time flies. I wanted to turn her into the old-school style April O'Neil, but ended up changing a few things. I learned a lot painting Michelangelo here, haven't tackled the task of painting a character as involved as this too often. Hopefully the next shot will go quicker! There's a few things I can touch up here and there, but I'll leave it for now or else I could be on this for forever!

Alien Beauty 6 by kuhsor
Alien Beauty 6

"Sometimes our search for a great model to work with could lead us all over the country.

For me, my search took me right out of our own star system.

Here is my shoot with the lovely 'Ashley' from the planet MR-1.

Thankfully I was able to shoot her on my ship orbiting her planet, as I was uncertain how I would be greeted on her world. The images turned out great, and I'm already planning my next shoot with this alien beauty."

Well at long last its done! My new comic, Kayla from Earth, is done and back from print! I now have boxes of this comic hanging out in my basement studio, and all set for the Edmonton Expo next weekend.

And I just put together the page on my website, so take a look and check out what its all about! And uh, order a copy!

Thanks :)

After leaving the College Fine Art program in 1998, I dreamed of becoming a Rock Star & world-famous Painter. I had the image totally realized in my mind; I was going to be living in a huge spacious loft in a down-town New York high-rise, with giant windows and surrounded by enormous 8-foot tall canvases and oil paints. My band would be world famous and I would delve into my art to cope with the overwhelming pressures of being a rock n’ roll celebrity.

Well, luckily for me, I was spared the pressures of becoming a Rock Icon. In 1999 I discovered computers and the wonderful world of Digital Art.

I began my design career back in 2000 creating interactive training modules for the oil and gas industry. By 2004 I was providing Art Direction for a local design company working on everything from web development, promotional print design, to animation. It was at this time I left this job and made the move to a full-time freelance designer. Some notable accomplishments during this time have been creating comics & illustrations for a magazine with a nationwide readership for 8 consecutive years, developing touch-screen poker games for a Las Vegas gaming company, and spearheading the corporate branding and marketing design for an agricultural company with products sold across the globe.

Aside from my regular design work, I also have much of my focus on creative projects combining illustration and photography with a pop-culture flair. I have published a few comic books in this style, teach workshops in digital editing, and exhibit my artwork at various comicons.

Thank you! But typically no I don't do photo-manip commissions, unless its someone hiring me to do a photoshoot of them as well.
